The standard describes calibration procedures and classification for force measuring systems used in UTM's. The calibration procedure measures the object in three diffent positions with increasing and decreasing measuring rows and force levels at 5 or 6 points. The result of the calibration is a classification according ISO 7500:2018 reported in the calibration certificate.
The calibration for tensile and compression force (pull and push direction) is performed for nominal force ranges below 5N with staggered masses (dead-weight) and from 50 N to 1200 kN with high precision force reference standards.
